How to Install the Overload Protector
The installation method usually has a great correlation with the installed space. There are 3 general installation methods, each of them has advantages and disadvantages.
- Welding : Generally used in home appliances (because the product space is limited), such as extension cord, Inverter and UPS.
Advantages : It can reduce the temperature rise of the product, and does not need other material to connect the product, which can save space.
Disadvantages : The welding process is time consuming and difficult to control the quality stability. The quality of the welding staff of each manufacturer is different. If the welding skill is not good, the product may not be able to work, or the electrical specifications of the product cannot be met. - Lock Screw : Generally used in home appliances (because the product space is limited), such as extension cord, Inverter and UPS.

Comprehensive analysis of the methods above.
Installation Speed : Quick-connect Terminal Block > Welding > Lock Screw
Installation Firmness : Lock Screw > Welding > Quick-connect Terminal Block
Space Limitation (Large to small) : Lock Screw > Quick-connect Terminal Block > Welding
Temperature Rise Performance : Welding > Lock Screw > Quick-connect Terminal Block
Installation Risk : Welding > Lock Screw > Quick-connect Terminal Block
3 methods all have their pros and cons. It is necessary to look at the R&D design and product safety specifications to determine which method to use.
